The Pohutukawa Coast Community Response Team (PC CRT) supports emergency preparedness on the coast.

Purpose
The Pohutukawa Coast Community Response Team is a volunteer organisation based in the settlements of Beachlands and Maraetai on the south-eastern edge of Auckland, New Zealand.
The aims of the organisation are to:
maintain a team of volunteers (the Pohutukawa Coast Emergency Response Team) able to respond to disasters and emergencies
support those volunteers to achieve NZQA qualifications in emergency response
work with Auckland Emergency Management (AEM) to provision a Community Lead Centre in the event of a disaster or emergency
support the community and emergency services by providing food, shelter, medicine or other necessities for life
